Informational Video
The SUNY Buffalo State Educational Leadership (EDL) Program is in the process of creating an informational video on how future administrators are being prepared as a result of its 30 graduate hour program. Should you or a member of your administrative team be a graduate of the program which led to your SBL or SDL certification and would be willing to volunteer to be included in the video, please pass your/their name onto me for consideration.
NIAGARA FRONTIER INDUSTRY EDUCATION COUNCIL (NFIEC)
For many years NYSLG Executive Director Robert Christmann has served on the Board of Directors of the NFIEC non-profit organization. This committee brings together representatives in their collaborative efforts to educate students about employment opportunities and programs that are based on service contractors.
EMPLOYEE EVALUATIONS
All administrators are likely to be required to complete annual employee performance evaluations. Frequently we struggle with what to write which both accurately reflects staff results and also supports their efforts and desire to improve.
ROCHESTER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT UPDATE
The New York State Leadership Group Executive Director, Robert W. Christmann, was requested by the Rochester City School District Board of Education to conduct a professional development workshop. The agenda included Board-Superintendent Roles and Responsibilities, a preliminary superintendent evaluation discussion and a district goal setting review.
NEW YORK STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT SELECTION RESULT
The New York State Leadership Group and PLC Associates, headquartered in Rochester, combined their resources to complete an application to be designated as an Independent Receiver under SED guidelines.
NEW YORK STATE LEADERSHIP GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELECTED TO PRESIDENCY OF A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION
Robert W. Christmann, New York State Leadership Group Executive Director, has been elected as the 2019 President of the National School Development Council (NSDC). Bob has served on the Board of Directors for six years prior to his second election as President.
BATAVIA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDY COMPLETED
The New York State Leadership Group, in April 2019, completed a Personnel Needs Assessment related to the following instructional programs:
- Music (K-12)
- Art (K-12)
- Foreign Language (7-12)
- Technology (7-12)
- Family and Consumer Science (7-12)
NEW YORK STATE LEADERSHIP GROUP WELCOMES NEW EDUCATIONAL LEADER TO PROFESSIONAL TEAM
Following her retirement on January 1, 2020, Barbara A. Battaglia has agreed to become a NYSLG consultant. Barb is currently the Director of Data Research, Accountability, Assessments, CIO and Central Registration for the Kenmore-Tonawanda UFSD.
