NIAGARA FRONTIER INDUSTRY EDUCATION COUNCIL (NFIEC)

For many years NYSLG Executive Director Robert Christmann has served on the Board of Directors of the NFIEC non-profit organization.  This committee brings together representatives in their collaborative efforts to educate students about employment opportunities and programs that are based on service contractors.

The NYSLG was selected to conduct the search process for the next NFIEC Executive Director following the resignation of John Craig who had accepted a position with the Orleans-Niagara BOCES.  Applications were received, references carefully checked and interviews conducted.  The Board of Directors welcomed Kelly Oldenburg to her new position.  All Board of Director members are very confident that she will provide an outstanding level of service to local districts and businesses.  Already planning is underway to expand the number of opportunities for students to learn more about what career options are open to them after high school/college.  Kelly is off to a great start and is continuing to provide very strong leadership to NFIEC through her hard work and creative ideas.
