NEW YORK STATE LEADERSHIP GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELECTED TO PRESIDENCY OF A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION
Robert W. Christmann, New York State Leadership Group Executive Director, has been re-elected as the 2020 President of the National School Development Council (NSDC).
Bob has served on the Board of Directors for six years prior to his third election as President.
The organization was formed in 1945 as a formal movement at Columbia and Harvard University. Membership in NSDC requires an educational service organization to partner with an institution of higher learning. Bob serves as Executive Director of the New York State Leadership Group affiliated with SUNY Buffalo State. Members are located throughout the United States with required representation from the Northeast, Northwest, Southwest and Southeast universities and service organizations.
The NSDC provides opportunities for educational leaders to meet to initiate and conduct cooperative research endeavors and to provide a national point of contact for educational leadership matters. Formally chartered in 1969, the NSDC has a mission of developing schools and school districts as high performance organizations.
Prior to his retirement in 2013, Bob served for 22 years as a New York State Superintendent.
