Dr. Robert J. Reidy, Jr.

Dr. Robert Reidy recently retired from his position as the Executive Director of the New York State Council of School Superintendents. Previous New York State superintendencies included: Mahopac, Horseheads and East Greenbush, as well as superintendencies in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

For seven years he served as the District Superintendent of the Schuyler Chemung-Tioga BOCES, during which time he conducted numerous superintendent searches.

In addition to his work with the New York State Leadership Group, Dr. Reidy serves as an Assistant Professor at Sage College teaching the Educational Leadership course and advising doctoral candidates at both its Albany and New York City sites.

Related experiences include being a faculty member in the Future Superintendents Academy of the State Superintendents Organization.

In 2011 he received the Leadership Development Award from the New York State Association of Women Administrators.  Dr. Reidy is a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Worcester State College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Advanced degrees were earned from Central Michigan University and his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.

He was granted an honorable discharge from the United States Army National Guard.

The author of numerous articles in educational publications, Dr. Robert Reidy has also presented at many state and national conferences.
